Independent overland travel through Africa in a Unimog called Moglet

It seems kind of weird to be thinking about where to go after Africa, when we haven't even left Suffolk yet. But even so, a bit of thinking about it now won't do any harm. The biggest issue is getting from Africa on to another continent. We've decided to not travel further up the eastern coast of Africa than round about Ethiopia, otherwise you have to go through Sudan (not great), and also Egypt (lovely, but incredibly high carnet costs for a truck). Even if we did get out the other side of Egypt, that'd leave us needing to get through Iran and Iraq before we could get to the 'Stans, which is a plan I'm not a big fan of.

So, current thinking is to get Moglet onto a freighter from maybe South Africa or Djibouti across to maybe India or Australia, or even round the other way to South America. Beyond that, there's absolutely no plan at all!
