Our travels down the remainder of South Uist and on to Eriskay were pretty uneventful, apart from actually managing to find a standing stone that was indicated on the map! Hurrah!!
Making an about face, we hot footed it as quick as we reasonably could as far north as possible, eventually making it all the way to the north west corner of North Uist. On the way we stopped at a little church ruin where the sun peeped out for a few minutes and Jason made a new friend :-)
We managed to find ourselves another deserted little beachfront location for the evening, a little way south of a village called Scolpaig. The map shows plenty of natural arch formations on the coastline to be looked at in the morning, so we'll have a little mooch at those before heading towards Lochmaddy for the ferry.
